Wexford Libraries invites you to take part in "Wexford War of Independence & Civil War Digitisation Day" in Gorey Library, Gorey Civic Square, The Avenue, Gorey on Friday, 13th of May 2022 from 11am to 4pm.

Following on from the succesful digitisation day held in Wexford Library branch in December 2021, Wexford Libraries are going to hold two further digitisation days - one in Wexford town and one in Gorey town. Members of the public are invited to bring photographs, postcards, letters, diaries, medals or other memorabilia in relation to this turbulent time in our history. Staff from Wexford Libraries will record the story of whom they belonged to and why they are important. The objects will be scanned or photographed. Historians and experts will also be on hand to discuss the significance of these treasures.
