Diarmaid Ferriter is an Irish historian, broadcaster and university professor. He has written eleven books on the subject of Irish history, and co-authored another.

His most recent book is Between Two Hells: The Irish Civil War. It is an absorbing new history of the Irish Civil War that brings home both the devastation wrought by the conflict and its troubled and complex legacy.
