Monica Crofton Book Launch In-Person
Monica Crofton will launch a longer, updated, and improved version of her book The Story of Wexford Town…as told to a young reader in Wexford Library on Thursday September 22nd. The launch, by Helen Corish-Wylde will take place at 7.00pm. The book is suitable for younger and older readers.
As a teacher in the Faythe school, Monica took her pupils on trips to see the locations of historical events around the town and county. After her retirement she became a guide with Wexford Walking Tours, leading tours to Selskar Abbey and other areas of local interest. Her previous book was 300 Paces Outside the Town Gate, a history of Wexford castle and military barracks. For anyone with an interest in local history this event is a must.
