To celebrate the International Day of Women in Science, Dr Sheila Donegan, Calmast , SETU will explore the role of women in Science, focussing on the contribution of Irish Women to Science. Sheila will highlight the many areas in which the work of female Scientists from the past which often overlooked , have laid the foundations of the science and technology of our modern world.

Dr Sheila Donegan is Director of Calmast, SETU’s STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Engagement Centre. The centre works to promote science to all ages and abilities. She is coordinator of the Wexford Science Festival, and delivers STEM workshops and courses to schools and communities across the South East.
