Science Week - Joanne Donohoe Art Workshop for ages 9-13 In-Person
This workshop invites participants to play a dice rolling game emulating the journey of a CO2 molecule.
Participants will learn the intricate nature of how our Earth works so efficiently to keep life as we know it in balance.
Carbon Dioxide is an important greenhouse gas that helps to trap heat in our atmosphere. Without it, Earth would be inhospitably cold but too much, and our Planet heats up. All of the science is warning us that the planet is at a critical point in temperature regulation. Participants will learn the intricate nature of how our Earth works so efficiently to keep life as we know it in balance. We can do our part and realise WE are nature, we are not separate from it. One way is to take care of the trees. We will focus further on the importance of trees in the second half of the workshop through fun drawing exercises. Everyone can draw in and from this workshop! Take some time out and connect to your own creative nature, come alone for time out or take it as a fun opportunity to connect with family and friends.
