Isaac Newton, the man and his science with Dr Gabriel Gallagher

Isaac Newton, the man and his science with Dr Gabriel Gallagher In-Person

Isaac Newton (1642 – 1727) is one of the greatest scientists and mathematicians of all time. He is most famous for his explanation of gravity but he discovered so much more with many of his breakthroughs forming the basis of modern life. He was a genius but he was also a difficult man -  solitary, untrusting and centred upon his research. A keen alchemist, Newton also analysed the Bible in efforts to find out how the Universe works.

This entertaining and informative talk is aimed at a general audience - no understanding of maths or science is needed. Uncover the life story and events that shaped one of the most complex polymaths of the early modern period.
