Small Scale Organic Farming with Janet Power of Gorse Farm In-Person
Join Janet Power of Gorse Farm for a special talk on small-scale Organic farming. This talk offers an opportunity to return to a nature-centered approach to land management & food production. This is a non-intensive way of producing food for the local community with low-energy inputs with high-energy outputs.
This ethos is at the core of Gorse Farm as it encompasses a holistic approach to healthy food production, land management and care of the environment.
The talk will cover Janet's experiences of small scale food production from co-running Gorse Farm, an organic market garden of 1/2 acre in size. In addition to sharing an overview of the farm and Janet will also speak to the broader social context of local, small-scale food production and the role it can play in addressing the climate & biodiversity crises.
