LEAF Week Foraging Talk with Gráinne Kenneally Quirke In-Person
Enniscorthy Library would like to invite you to a Foraging talk with Gráinne Kennaelly Quirke from Elderberry Farm to celebrate LEAF Week.
Gráinne will discuss the immense health benefits, both physical and mental, of foraging and producing your own food from ingredients that are growing wild within a stones throw of your own front door. Gráinne will talk about how to sustainably produce your own food and drinks with what Mother Nature provides. No mass production, just raw ingredients, no fertilisers, no sprays, no pesticides. Just wild food growing naturally and all yours for free!
She’ll demonstrate how easy it is to provide yourself with delicious, nutritious foods, drinks and tonics to help ward off colds and flu as well as ease the symptoms of many everyday ailments that most of us suffer with at some stage during our lives.
The Literacy & Food Education (LEAF) Programme is about empowering communities to grow their own food as a vital climate action. It’s about sowing seeds of empathy and nurturing a culture of sustainable living, all while turning libraries into bustling hubs of food growing.
Booking essential.
