Bat Talk - Biodiversity Week

Bat Talk - Biodiversity Week In-Person

Enniscorthy Library is pleased to host an evening dedicated to the fascinating word of bats. Join us for an informative presentation by local wildlife experts Graeme Blyth and Alan Poole from the Gorey Bat Group.

The initiative came from Wexford farmer, Alan Poole who engaged with known acquaintances and local expertise to form the core team. Graeme Blyth and Kyle Kenny joined in support roles. The main mission of the group is to educate the Wexford community on the importance of our native bat species, to kill myths and generally to promote their protection. Through the activities we undertake; to generate enthusiasm and understanding of the vital role the bats play in our natural world.

National Biodiversity Week is all about connecting you with nature. It’s about communicating the importance of biodiversity and providing motivation to play your part in protecting it.

It’s also about entertainment! Find fun and wonder outdoors with ten days of celebration!
