History of the Bow and Arrow: an illustrated archery talk.

History of the Bow and Arrow: an illustrated archery talk. In-Person

New Ross Library is hosting a talk on Archery, where we will explore it's use around the world and the history of the bow and arrow in an Irish context. The talk will be given by Marcin Malek and Andrew Wayland from The Irish Field Archery Monthly (TIFAM), two archers and enthusiasts in the field, and they will tell us about the origins of bows around the world, their uses, and how vital they were in warfare and hunting, from ancient times right up to present day.

Andrew and Marcin will also have some example of bows and arrowheads to illustrate their talk.
