The Community Climate Action Programme (CCAP) is an initiative ran by the Department of Climate, Energy & The Environment which aims to support & empower communities, in partnership with their Local Authorities, to shape and build low carbon and sustainable communities. The first round of the CCAP ran from 2021-2024 and as part of that programme, €669,000 in grant funding was allocated to 16 not-for-profit community groups throughout Co. Wexford to help them take climate action.

In anticipation of Round 2 of the CCAP, Wexford County Council will hold a series of public information sessions throughout the County to which community groups are encouraged to attend so that they can:

•           Meet the Community Climate Action Officer

•           Gain further information on the grant funding & how it can assist their organisation with their Climate Action goals

•           Learn how to apply for funding
