Ann Kenny - Artist inspired by the words of Rosenstock In-Person
An evening of poetry, questions and answers and the distillation of an artist’s inspiration: Is Mise a Bheidh Ann, That will be Me, is a visual response by print artist and illustrator Ann Kenny to a text by Gabriel Rosenstock, and her exhibition is at Wexford Library for the duration of the festival.
The work comprises a series of collaged monotypes made in response to the Irish/English text Is Mise a Bheidh Ann, That will be me and each illustrates one page of this poetic meditation on death and grief.
Gabriel Rosenstock is a bilingual poet, tankaist, children's author, haikuist, translator and in the words of Hugh MacDiarmid, 'a champion of forlorn causes.' His poetry will be read at the library by his son, Tristan, while artist and writer Suzanne Walsh will join Ann in a conversation about her work.
Booking is essential.
