Recognising Your Employability & Personal Skills - making your CV stand out In-Person
As part of the Library Skills for Life Program, join Alan Maher in Enniscorthy Library, for the first in a series of workshops and talks to enhance your employability.
A CV is often the first step to your next step so getting it right is important. Presenting yourself effectively to potential employers is key because a CV is very often the first and only thing a potential employer will see or know about you. It is vital to present yourself in a manner that makes the right first impression because first impressions last!!
One key section that should be included in a CV is a skills profile. However many people struggle to clearly identify the type of skills, abilities and competencies that can be included in this section. This talk will focus particularly on this aspect of writing a CV but will cover all issues that will help you to make your CV stand out.
